Laptops

Each fellow will be provided a DELL **** computer. Each laptop will be fully configured to access the University’s systems including the on-campus wireless network.

This laptop will go well beyond fitting your program needs and will be yours to keep at the end of the program.

The laptops will be configured with Microsoft Windows. Each fellow will sit with a member of Maxwell’s technology team for final configuration of the laptop. Arabic language will be installed. If you would like the Windows Spanish or French language packs installed, they will be happy to do so. Additionally you will be given Arabic keyboard stickers to apply if you wish.

Cell Phones

Each participant will be issued a cellular mobile phone and a limited international calling card at the program's orientation in Syracuse.

The cell phone plan will allow roughly *** minutes of calls to and from anywhere in the United States each month. It will not be set up for direct international calling. Fellows will be able to call one another on their cell phones at no charge.  Managing your cell phone account will be explained in detail at the program orienation. 

For international calls from this phone you will need to use a calling card. We can explain the calling plan, the phone's features, and how to obtain additional calling cards in more detail after you arrive.

Phone numbers will be issued and published here a few weeks prior to your travel to the US.
