The LDF program will provide you each with health insurance throughout the duration of your stay in the U.S. If asked by a consular official, you should apprise them of this fact and reference your Appointment Letter as documentation, if needed.

If you are currently being treated for a condition or illness, maintain whatever coverage you may have and or inquire as to whether you can be reimbursed for services you pay for and receive in the States.
NOTE: If you have has prescribed medications plan to bring enough supply to last the duration of the program.
